Our mission

Do you use recycled materials?

Yes! Much of my work is focused on using found, salvaged, upcycled, recycled and repurposed materials from beads, embroidery hoops, silk flowers, dried flowers and natural elements found in nature. Many of my pieces are created using all recycled materials from start to finish. My biggest use of recycled material is the sari silk ribbon. Sari Silk ribbon is not made from old saris, it is the left over material from India's garment industry. It is cut and sewn together to make gorgeous silk ribbon that would otherwise be thrown away. It is also a fair trade product that is ethically sourced. This is a honest and fair means of employment for many women of India.
